Singapore Turf Club: CATCH TELECAST OF DUBAI WORLD CUP RACE MEETING ‘LIVE’ IN SINGAPORE!
The world’s richest race, the US$10 million Dubai World Cup over 2,000m, will be held at Meydan on 26 March 2011. It will be the finale event on an all-star program and is timed to be run at 1.35am (Singapore time) on 27 March 2011.
In total US$26,250,000 in prizemoney will be up for grabs on eight races which will see four Group 1 and three Group 2 races being staged.
Singapore will be represented in three races. Recently crowned Horse of the Year Rocket Man will contest the US$2 million Group 1 Dubai Golden Shaheen over 1,200m and try and turn around his defeat in last year’s race behind Kinsale King.
Laurie Laxon will be represented by the winner of 14 of his 15 starts in Better Than Ever in the US$5 million Group 1 Dubai Duty Free over 1,800m while Michael Freedman will make his first trip to Dubai when Better Be The One lines-up in the US$1 million Group 2 Al Quoz Sprint over 1,000m on the straight turf track.
The Singapore Turf Club will telecast ‘live’ and operate totalisator for the prestigious Dubai World Cup races. The totalisator will take place from Race 1 to 5 (8.35pm to 11.05pm), at the following venues:

(2) Off-Course Betting Centres

(b) Winning Lounge @ Bukit Merah (Level 1)
(c) Winning Loft @ The Majestic (Level 2)

(f) Winning Square @ SingPost
(3) Singapore Pools Pte Ltd (SPPL) Branches
(a) Livewire @ Marina Bay Sands
(b) Livewire @ Resorts World Sentosa
Totalisator services are available at the Singapore Racecourse, Off-Course Betting Centres, betting outlets, SPPL branches and via TELEBET service. All the Off-Course Betting Centres, Betting Outlets, SPPL branches totalisator services are able to accept bets for Dubai World Cup races subject to their operating hours. The Off-Course Betting Centres listed in (2) will re-open to Public at 8.00pm on the actual day. The Singapore Racecourse will remain open for both the day and evening race meetings.
Complimentary entry is extended to racegoers at the above locations for the Dubai World Cup race meeting (Prevailing dress code applies). Entry fees for the day meetings are still applicable. The full race meeting will be telecast "Live" on Horse-racing Channel 289 on Starhub Sports.
