News Release: Wallcovering from Charlie Wilson Collection, Cole & Son, Goodrich
The Charlie Wilson collection by Cole and Son, is a tribute to Charile Wilson who joined Coles in 1951 as an apprentice block printer. For 57 years Charlie’s artistic sensibilities and craftsmanship have been applied to the printing of thousands of rolls of wallpaper in countless designs.
The 12 designs in this range have been produced using a non-woven base of papers. The elegant and understated collection include:
Annette features miniature tulips in a stencil silhouette.
Apsen Son is an updated late Victorian design with a mass of leaves.
Bay Tree is from the early 20th century and as the name suggests has stylized bays linked in a horizontal line.
Charlotte is from the early 20th century in a delicate flower design.
Conway is a Gothic inspired quatrefoil design.
Cordoba n is a small Art Deco style trellis.
Daisy is a simple classic flower design.
Katherine features Art Nouveau stylized flowers linked by curling ribbon trellis.
Large Georgian Rope Trellis is a classic from Cole and Son.
Lyon is an Art Nouveau design with a trellis of single stemmed roses.
Paris is an archive design with curling leaves forming Art Nouveau shapes
Rococo is an ethereal early Victorian design with flowers and berries.
