CozyCot.com launches Magazine on Two Platforms
Digital and ink versions present a richer, multi-media way to enjoy a magazine
Singapore, 16 June 2011 – Leading woman’s website and forum, CozyCot today launches a women’s magazine on its website, as well as in print.
Both versions will have the same look and feature the same articles, layout and images, including advertisements. This online version will have the additional feature of interactivity and rich media content. This synergy between the new online and print magazine is unique, and the first of its kind in the online female world.
For example, images in articles can be clicked through to view more pictures or video. Editors and advertisers will have the ability to literally bring their articles and ads to life.
CozyCot.com, which began as an online forum for women, has grown into the leading lifestyle website for Singapore women, featuring over 28,000 forum threads, more than 2 million posts, and countless articles and reviews. CozyCot now becomes Asia’s first women’s, and social networking, site to evolve from a digital site to a print medium, reversing the trend of the traditional print-to-digital media cycle.
The magazine is affectionately referred to as CozyCot ‘mook’ (part-magazine, part book). “It’s like downloading the e-magazine into your handbag to read anytime,” says Ms Nicole Yee, founder andCEOof CozyCot. The voice of CozyCot founder Nicole Yee resonates throughout the publication, with her observations on life and her experiences as a discerning product consumer.
“It’s wireless, doesn’t run out of power, and you can take it anywhere, yet it also allows readers to give feedback on any article, and interact with other readers, by going online. No other magazine allows this level of convenience, interactivity and involvement with its readers!”
The combination of thought-provoking features, news and opinions makes CozyCot mook a useful and compelling guide for women. It features articles on beauty, fashion, lifestyle and health, offering expert opinions on a wide range of topics that interest the modern woman.
CozyCot mook was conceived after CozyCot hit over 2 million posts and 150,000 registered members, and aims to attract new readers to join the online chats and forums that have made it the leading woman’s website in Singapore.
“The magazine format allows for longer, reflective articles with a timeless appeal for casual reading, anywhere. CozyCot’s digital platform, on the other hand, engages members through its lively online forums, real-time information and interactive chats,“ observes Ms Yee. “The two platforms complement each other well in their content and relevance to readers.”
CozyCot mook is filled with call-to-action articles, enabling readers to go online so that they can better engage via digital videos, e-commerce and social networking. Readers will also be able to share their thoughts on articles, with shout-outs on social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. They are also invited to participate in contests which encourage online interaction, and receive unique gifts and samples, with each copy of the magazine.
The quarterly, 188-page, magazine retails at S$7.00 per copy, with a limited print run. It is available at major bookstores in Singapore: Kinokuniya, MPH, Prologue, Borders, PageOne, Times and Popular. Readers can access the digital mook at cozycot.com/mook
