A Day at Work for Kids

Kimberly-Clark Malaysia recently hosted the children of its employees on the “Bring Your Kids to Work” Day on 14 September.

The day started ordinarily, but by 8.30am, the office was soon filled with the voices of 53 excited children with ages ranging from 2 to 17.

The event kicked off with a fun and light-hearted welcome by Jason Crimson, Director, Global Business Services Asia Pacific. Shortly after, the children were introduced to Kimberly-Clark’s portfolio of products from Huggies diapers to Kleenex Facial Tissues. The kids also learnt the importance of cleanliness, the different types of bacteria that may make them fall sick and proper hand hygiene steps, and experienced the mobile sink by Kimberly-Clark Professional.

Following the hand hygiene demonstration, the “K-C kids” took a tour of the office to see where their mummy or daddy worked. Amusing chatter could be heard as the children participated in a conference call and experienced for themselves what it was like to be in a meeting.

The day closed with fun activities including hand-painting, sand-art and quizzes which kept the children engaged and entertained. Many of them were delighted with the experience and couldn’t wait to find out when the next family event will be.

Organized by the WIN Malaysia 2016 Committee, ‘Bring Your Kids to Work’ is one of the programs to make Kimberly-Clark a great place to work for its employees and foster a women friendly culture.
