Kimberly-Clark Asia Pacific and Essential Engineering & Construction were named winners of the most Transformational Collaboration award at the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) awards.

Presented at SICC's 180th anniversary gala dinner on 24 March 2017, the award honors a collaboration that has resulted in the biggest gains for a large organization and a small & medium enterprise in the areas of increased capacity, value creation, productivity improvements, revenue growth and/or return on investments.

The Singapore Tuas plant was recognized for its partnership with Essential Engineering to set up the new Huggies baby wipes manufacturing line.

Essential Engineering was instrumental in delivering a world-class solution for the new line, from installation to maintenance.  The solution leveraged their strength in the food and pharmaceutical industries to create a system that adds purified water to the baby wipes - essential for the hygiene and gentleness of the product.

The collaboration has enabled Huggies baby wipes to be made in Singapore for Asia Pacific.

The result: cost and manpower savings, and a transformational collaboration that can be scaled across  across geographies and projects.  Kimberly-Clark achieved a new milestone reinforcing its commitment to fostering innovation and growth in Asia Pacific, from Singapore as our regional hub.  The collaboration has also set Essential Engineering  up for further innovation and growth, through successful upgrading of skills and productivity improvement.
