Last chance: 3D Printing by DNV GL and Ivaldi 14 November

3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing: revolutionizing the supply of replacement parts for field development projects and operations

We warmly invite you to a lunch seminar on Wednesday 14 November at Nordea’s office about 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing by DNV GL and Ivaldi.

Additive manufacturing (AM), also known as 3D printing, progressively builds up products from raw materials such as metal powder feedstock or a wire, can transform the business models of many industries.

A report by the World Economic Forum suggests that AM could unlock approximately USD 30 billion of value for oil and gas companies. Contributing to the delivery of long-term cost efficiencies that are not only vital to the future success of the oil and gas industry, but vital to enabling the energy transition that DNV GL have forecast.

DNV GL have specifically created a multidiscipline X-Team look at business models surrounding AM. The team joins the DNV GL Global AM Centre of Excellence in Singapore and has three months to identify and test possible positions for DNV GL in a fast-changing ecosystem.

During the presentation, Dr Sastry Kandkuri and Simon Ratcliffe from the AM X-Team and Brice Le Gallo, DNV GL regional manager for South East Asia and Australia, will introduce us to AM and facilitate a valuable discussion about the challenges and opportunities of adopting this technology.
