Largest Global Shale Event Spotlights Asia Pacific

11 September 2013 – Singapore – The largest international event for the world’s shale oil and gas industry, World Shale Oil & Gas: Summit and Exhibition (4-8 November 2013), will feature an Asia Pacific Day on Thursday, 7 November 2013.  The day is designed to throw the spotlight on Asia Pacific by driving discussions as to how to unlock potential shale reserves in the region. Sessions include a review of the quantity and quality of shale reserves in Asia Pacific; as well as how to implement strategies that will assist a favourable investment climate to attract investors. Participants will have opportunities to discuss collaborations, partnerships or joint ventures in Asia Pacific.

Delegates will learn from established North American producers how to overcome challenges and implement best practice; be shown how to evaluate operational challenges including water usage, infrastructure challenges and train essential manpower. Keynote speakers will examine the new dynamics of the growing gas market as well as promote an understanding of what the future holds for LNG, shale gas and piped gas. 

Organizers have confirmed participation from high ranking government representatives from China, Australia, Mongolia, India, the UK, and the United States. Industry leaders attending represent organizations such as Chevron, BP, Schlumberger, Shell, Carizzo Oil & Gas, Saipem S.p.A, Sasol Petroleum, China Petroleum Enterprise Association, Cheniere Energy and Shell.
