After the Nokia crisis, over 10 000 Finns—many of them highly qualified—have lost their job. Sigma Technology, represented by Johnny Fägersten, and three other Swedish IT companies are heading to the Finnish job fair in Salo, near Turku, this week to offer IT positions in Sweden.
Sigma and Sigma Technology continue moving up in the KarriärBarometern (Career Barometer) survey, conducted by Universum, a world leader in employer branding. This year we were ranked 33rd for IT professionals, which is 45 positions higher than last year. Sigma is also listed 43rd in another survey conducted among engineers, where we moved 20 steps up.
Sigma Technology Hungary has started cooperation with Google Lunar XPRIZE-competitor Puli Space Technologies, and has become Puli’s certified bronze level supporter. In the first phase of the cooperation, Sigma will provide technical writing consultancy services. The task includes supervising and amending Puli’s technical documentation, and providing proposals for further content development.

Sigma Technology donates to Doctors without Borders, an international humanitarian organization that gives medical aid to people suffering from conflicts, epidemics, disasters or exclusion from healthcare. The goal is to fundraise 200 000 SEK together with our employees before December 2015 and create a better tomorrow for those who are in great need today.

Sigma Technology in Gothenburg and the Internet of Things and People research center (IoTaP) at Malmö University have developed an experimental demo project presenting a new traffic light system.
