The Sweden-Ukraine Business Forum is going to take place on June 15-16th in Kyiv, Ukraine. This year the agenda includes the following topics: reforms implementation in Ukraine, social responsibility as a competitive advantage, Ukrainian IT export development and, in particular, effective e-government solutions.
On May 26-27th, the regular Tempus project meeting took place in Lviv. Representatives of Sigma Technology Solutions and Sigma Software, as well as professors from Linnaeus University (Sweden) and Lviv Polytechnic University (Ukraine), gathered to discuss the current status and share plans for the near future.
On May 15th Sigma Technology, Star for Life and Mmemezi High School celebrated the launch of a long-term partnership in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The goal is to help South African scholars follow their dreams and get access to a better education.
Sigma Technology Solutions hosted two events within the TEMPUS project in Växjö, Sweden. On May 5th, the company and Linnaeus University organized the IT-Pub — an event dedicated to shining light on the Tempus NEFESIE project. The next day, the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Workshop for Ukrainian professors from five TEMPUS partner universities was held.
On May 13th, Sigma Technology took part in a seminar in Budapest dedicated to Smart Work & Life for the Next Generation. The event was held within the frameworks of the Swedish-Hungarian Smart Forum, and organized by the Embassy of Sweden, Business Sweden, the Ministry of Human Capacities, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and leading Swedish companies in Hungary.
Back in 2014, Sigma Technology together with Sigma Software completed the development of the game English Minnits. The Product Owner is Universal Learning Games AB — a Swedish company, which specializes in developing, producing and marketing games intended for learning. In early March 2015, Minnits was presented in Indian schools.
In late March, twenty students from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) gathered at Sigma Technology Development Stockholm’s office to participate in a Cryptology night.
As one of the first companies in Sweden, Sigma has qualified for Microsoft's partner level Gold Intelligent Systems. This is a new partnership competency that Microsoft launched globally last year.
In late March Óbuda University (Hungary) hosted the Engineering Session of the XXXII National Scientific Students’ Associations Conference (OTDK in Hungarian). The biannual OTDK conference is one of the most important scientific events for students all over Hungary. Sigma Technology was among the partners of the event.
The Global Leader in Employer Branding — Universum — has published the report on Sweden's Most Attractive Employers 2015 according to the FöretagsBarometern students’ survey. Sigma was ranked 42nd, which is three positions up comparing to last year.
On March 24th, the Sigma Technology office in San Jose, California, hosted a workshop “Take Control of Your Information”, showcasing the results of a recent three-year research project performed jointly by Sigma, Linnaeus University (Sweden) and a market-leading Telecom company. The event welcomed startups and companies within Telecom, Automotive and Clean Energy areas.

Fredrik is the seventh Enterprise Security MVP in all of Europe and stands alone in the world as a recognized guru in both ADCS (PKI) and ADFS.
We are proud to announce the launch of the partnership between Mmemezi High School, Star for Life and Sigma Technology. The event will take place on May 15th within the framework of the company’s sustainability program. Sigma Technology takes the whole responsibility for the school, which is located 35 km north of Hluhluwe, a town in KwaZulu-Natal, and has over 800 students.
"IT-Eureka! Ukraine" is held within the framework of the Tempus project "National Education Framework for Enhancing IT Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship". As a member of the project, Sigma supported the contest and marked the winners with valuable prizes.
In February, Sigma sponsored Machine Chapter’s career fair, Moment, which took place in Stockholm. The career fair was organized by the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and its students union Tekniska Högskolans Studentkår (THS). Sigma was represented by Sigma Industry and Sigma Technology. We are proud to share that Sigma was considered the most professional exhibitor and had the best stand.
As a sign of increased trust in Sigma, the Chalmers University of Technology and Gothenburg University have named Sigma as a central supplier in three service areas. The general agreement encompasses operational development and strategy, management and control, and operations and support. With the agreement, Sigma becomes a central supplier for both Chalmers and Gothenburg University.
Sigma Technology Hungary sponsors the premiere of the Swedish movie “A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence”, released in Sweden in November 2014 and awarded the Golden Lion for Best Film at the Venice Film Festival last year. The film premieres in Hungary on March 19th.
Sigma Connectivity AB, a leading Engineering Design House based in Sweden, today announced a collaboration with Broadcom Corporation on a reference platform for wearable devices. The ultra-compact Connectivity Reference Design - CRED - features a 32x30mm form factor and encompasses Broadcom’s latest low-power platform for Android Wear.
In cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden, Business Sweden gathered representatives of Swedish companies, operating on the Hungarian market, to join a seminar on the sustainable & future working environment. The seminar took place on February 18th, with Sigma Technology Hungary in attendance.
