Lighting up the workday
Experts speak of circadian rhythm, that is, human turnaround. Basically a 24-hour internal clock that is running in the background of your brain and cycles between sleepiness and alertness at regular intervals. It’s also known as your sleep/wake cycle. Human alertness and sleep rhythm are adjusted accordingly. To ensure sufficient sleep, the daily rhythm should be adjusted so that natural fatigue and sleep intake begin early enough in the evening.
Luckily for me I only sleep in 5 minute intervals. Which is nice but apparently annoying to others using me..huh…I don’t get it.

It is possible to calibrate the human biological clock and circadian rhythm by exposing yourself to the brightest light of the day.
That is to say, being inside during the work day, you should have a break at noon and get some bright light/sunshine time to calibrate your own internal clock. Even when you live in Finland it might be tough to find light all the time, dont worry yourself, here in the frozen tundra called Finland the sun seems to stay out half the year. The other half is pretty dark. That is what tanning beds are for, just kidding, I can’t be in a tanning bed because I would short circuit. A nice break from the office atmosphere to step out of the luminescent lights to get real “el natural” light is a good way to boost energy and productivity.

On top of the vitamin D your brain gets from taking in this beautiful thing called sunlight, fresh air is a great addition to your health and wellness. Unless you work next to a paper mill, they smell. At least when you work next to a paper mill you can always blame the smell on the gas it produces, sshhh I know it was you, I won’t tell anyone. The fresh air intake can absolutely free your mind and prepair you for what lies ahead. If you dont want to leave the office for fresh air it is ok to even open a window or two. Reminds me, what do computers and air conditioneers have in common? They both become useless when you open windows……haha…shout out to all my programmers out there!!
At the end of the day Natural light is a crucial part to any human being and their internal rhythm.
