15 Emerging Designers Selected for Formex Design Talents in January

On January 16th, Formex opens – the Nordic region's most important meeting place for interior design. As tradition dictates, selected designers showcase their products in the Formex Design Talents area, and one of the designers will be the winner of "Best in Show." The award goes to the designer who stands out through ideas, form, and presentation and is announced on the opening day.

Formex Design Talents is an area where emerging designers, from both Sweden and internationally, can apply to exhibit and have the opportunity to showcase their products to buyers, producers, and the media. At the same time, visitors and exhibitors at Formex get to experience new and exciting design talents. Over the years, hundreds of designers have had the opportunity to display their creations in the area, and in August 2023, the "Best in Show" award went to Elin Fyhr, the founder of Plantstraws, who, in a stylish, sensory, and fun way, creates sculptural design solutions for plant irrigation.

- The area where our Design Talents booths are located is full of life and curiosity. The 'street' is interesting for both exhibitors and visitors who find everything new and innovative exciting and inspiring. It is incredibly important to highlight, encourage, and shed light on the future and the growth in the industry; we need each other, says Sonja Björk Ebert, project manager for Formex.
