Formex with a taste of New York

Formex, the interior design and gifts fair, which will be held August 13-16, offers visitors an urban environment in the pop-up restaurant, B18th Street. Among skyscrapers and trees, design meets food and architecture, with New York's skyline as a source of inspiration.

In the Formex exhibition and pop-up restaurant, B18th Street, designer Synnöve Mork creates an urban environment with high rises, streets, pedestrian crossings and traffic lights. Ladders and stairs enhance the feel of the city's facade. The exhibit also highlights the growing interest in city gardening with zones for gardening - green oases - like, for example, a High Line, with herbs, scents and color inspiration in the middle of the city.

B18th Street also has on display still lifes of objects related to mealtimes, and the restaurant offers new and classic dishes with organic influences.

“The atmosphere at B18th Street is inspired by New York. Visitors will sit and eat in the middle of the streetscape. Just like the interior design, the food will be inspired by this great city and the menu will feature organic dishes inspired by the city's gardens. Personally, I think city gardening makes living in the city both more beautiful and more humane,” says Synnöve Mork.
