Guest of Honour at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2025 – Faye Toogood

From fashion to furniture, textiles to sculpture, few designers switch quite so confidently between disciplines as British artist Faye Toogood. As Guest of Honour at Stockholm Furniture 2025, Toogood will create a captivating installation in the entrance hall. Her ability to work across disciplines ensures that her contribution will set the tone for the 2025 fair, dedicated to the diverse landscape of design.

Stockholm Furniture Fair announces Faye Toogood as its 20th Guest of Honour at the upcoming 2025 event. Recognized for her interdisciplinary and artistic vision, the appointment of Toogood as Guest of Honour aligns with the fair’s commitment to celebrating all creative fields.

"It is an honour and pleasure to be invited to the Stockholm Furniture Fair. I believe creativity is the connective tissue that can draw us all together. I’ll be bringing this preoccupation to Stockholm. I want to celebrate thinking and making, heads and hands, artists and makers,” says Faye Toogood.

Unbound by formal training, Faye Toogood has carved a unique path in the design world, establishing herself as a leading figure in the industry. Her works have been acquired by the permanent collections of prestigious institutions worldwide, including Vitra Design Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the National Gallery of Victoria. Her instinctive approach has led to the creation of contemporary classics like the Roly Poly Chair, as well as collaborations with Tacchini, CC-Tapis, Hem, Poltrona Frau, and Driade, and commissions for Mulberry, Hermès, and Commes des Garçons.

Toogood founded her London studio in 2008. In 2013, her sister Erica, a trained pattern cutter, joined her. Together they launched a collection of coats inspired by various trades, which evolved into the acclaimed Toogood label. Today, Toogood’s practice encompasses interior design, homewares, fine art and fashion, refusing to be constrained by a single discipline or defined way of working. Her London studio is filled with nonconformists just like her – architects, sculptors, furniture makers and illustrators – who cross-pollinate on every project.

Faye Toogood’s presence at the fair underscores the importance of perspectives in shaping the future of design. Her boundary-pushing work will set the tone for the 2025 edition of Stockholm Furniture Fair.

Previous Guests of Honour include: Patricia Urquiola, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Naoto Fukasawa, Konstantin Grcic, Giulio Cappellini, Ineke Hans, Sir Paul Smith, Arik Levy, Inga Sempé, Oki Sato (Nendo), GamFratesi, Ilse Crawford, Barber & Osgerby, Jaime Hayon, Paola Navone, Neri&Hu, Doshi Levien, Front and Formafantasma.

Stockholm Furniture Fair is held February 4-8, 2025, at Stockholmsmässan, in parallel with Stockholm Design Week February 3-9.
