Press release -

Nordbygg good for business

On April 21, 2020, the doors to the housing and construction industry’s foremost meeting place in the Nordics will open. Over four days, more than 800 Swedish and foreign companies will show their latest products, solutions and services. Added to that are seminars and special arenas and events for different fields.

It is not strange that Nordbygg is considered the most self-evident place to be seen. The line-up is impressive, both for exhibitors and visitors. This creates a concrete basis for marketing, business possibilities, new relationships, new knowledge and inspiration.

– To this day, more than 800 exhibiting companies are booked and ready. Both the B and C halls are fully-booked, and the total occupied area is 94 per cent, says Peter Söderberg, Nordbygg’s Project Manager.

In the hall A, the HVAC area is still strong and has grown since 2018. Cooling and heating pumps will present a range of new exhibitors.

This year, Peter Söderberg is also happy to see that the number of national stands has increased. In 2020, Austria, The Netherlands, Bavaria, the Czech Republic and Latvia are represented, and it is possible that an additional country will be joining us. Negotiations are ongoing.

Gold medal led to increase in demand. The winner of Nordbygg’s Gold Medal in 2018, the founder and CEO of the company Operose, Johanna Söderström, says that the attention that her winning product (work trousers for pregnant women) has received was something that she could only dream of. Since then, the demand for her products has increased and she is now expanding her business slowly and also seeing a market outside of Sweden.

– The crowning of the Gold Medal winner and the presentation of the nominees is an important part of Nordbygg, just as the completely new Innovation Arena, where the Gold Medal is a feature, says Peter Söderberg.

So another Gold Medal winner will be crowned at Nordbygg 2020. From January onwards, the magazine Byggindustrin will publish the new products that are candidates for Nordbygg’s Gold Medal for best product innovation. At a final nomination, ten contenders are chosen and published just before the fair and then shown in an exhibit in the Innovation Arena. On Thursday April 23, the winner will be revealed.

Unique products based on research

The research-based ventilation newcomer InventiAir will be returning to Nordbygg in the Spring for the fourth time.

– We know that Nordbygg is always a successful investment for us, says the founder and CEO of InventiAir, Martin Sellö.

For a smaller actor in the ventilation industry, such as InventiAir, Nordbygg is the perfect place to show off and gain impact for our innovative research-based products.

– At Nordbygg we can reach out to and meet our existing clients as well as potential ones. But also collaboration partners and suppliers. It is also important to be seen for us to be relevant as an employer, says Martin Sellö.
