Nova Felix – Winner of Formex Design Talents Best in Show

Formex Design Talents is a competition for emerging designers, giving them the opportunity to connect with the industry and showcase their products to buyers, producers, and the media. Among the nominees, one entry is ultimately selected as the winner of the "Best in Show" – and today, that winner was announced: Nova Felix.

The idea was born during the renovation of an 1800s apartment and a search for a ceiling rosette with more personality. This became the starting point for Rebel Rosettes – a collection that breathes new life into the classic ceiling rosette by blending historical shapes with contemporary references and a touch of humor.

With a production process that combines 3D printing and traditional plaster casting, the collection fuses modern technology with skilled craftsmanship. The result is ceiling decorations that stand out, spark curiosity, and work just as well in contemporary interiors as they do in historic settings. The collection continues to evolve through new themes, with the aim of making the ceiling an unexpectedly expressive element in interior design.

Playful, surprising, and innovative. One can almost feel the echoes of history as details and craftsmanship intertwine across time and space. The result is a design that feels both relevant and creative, showcasing a strong sense of form along with respect for both tradition and innovation. Here, playfulness is combined with refined and beautiful ornamentation, turning the embellished ceiling into a surface for aesthetics that adds a new dimension to the room.
