Scandinavian Design Awards is unveiling news for 2024

Scandinavian Design Awards 2024 introduces new categories and the opportunity for anyone to influence who has the chance to win the Scandinavian Design Awards. A panel of renowned experts from the architecture and design industry in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland will select the winners. The second edition of Scandinavian Design Awards is set to take place on February 6, 2024, in the Blue Hall at Stockholm City Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend the prize ceremony – tickets are now available.

The Scandinavian Design Awards aim to be an annual highlight for design industry professionals and enthusiasts alike. It promises an unforgettable evening to celebrate and draw attention to both established players and newcomers within architecture and design in Scandinavia.

Introducing new categories
In its second edition, Scandinavian Design Awards is introducing new categories to honor emerging trends and include the entire scope of architecture and design. Through these dedicated categories, the awards are committed to staying relevant.

The award consists of seven categories:

  • Architecture of the Year Award
  • Interior Design Product of the Year Award
  • Furniture of the Year Award
  • Designer of the Year Award
  • Interior Designer of the Year Award
  • Rising Star of the Year Award
  • Sustainability Achievement of the Year Award


Nominate and participate
For the first time, nominations are open to all interested in submitting the most outstanding project, design or designer for consideration. It's an opportunity to recognize talents and achievements at every scale. This approach can lead to a more inclusive representation of innovative contributions. Nominate your favorite no later than October 6.

Unveiling the jury for 2024
The jury panel is composed of eminent figures from the fields of architecture and design in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. Each member of the jury brings a unique perspective and valuable insights due to their expertise and accomplishments in their respective countries. Their collective expertise and diversity of backgrounds make them well-equipped to evaluate and appreciate the submissions.

The jury is chaired by architectural historian and writer Martin Rörby.
