The jury’s motivation: Pregnant lines, attractive dimensions and clever form. The collection, which includes a coffee grinder, mocha pot, milk jug and sugar bowl, gives new expression to a traditional product.

“It’s incredibly flattering, we are very happy for the award. Our designers are also very proud, first for the nomination and now for the price. They have really found Stelton's DNA. The collection is made from coffee lovers for coffee lovers, says Mattias Nieminen Cederberg, Country Manager, Stelton”

A classic bowl with spout in modern design. Two spouts offer a solid grip and the hand-worked edge increases the beauty. Versatile bowl for everyday use and parties – as simple as it is exclusive.

“It's great to get people's price given a product that is so simple that a spilkums bowl. I am also glad that Skrufs glasbruk continues dare to invest in appliances and not give in to different trends. Each bowl is unique because they are handmade, says Carina Seth Andersson, designer.”

The 2016 jury includes Synnöve Mork, designer; Dan Gordan, Editor of Sköna Hem; Kerstin Wickman, Professor of the History of Design and Crafts; Johan Carpner, designer, and Kajsa Falck-Torlegård, Formex.

Twelve objects are nominated for the competition. In order to be nominated, a product must have been exhibited at Formex in the spring or fall of 2016. It must be new for the year, it must be judged for its design and it must be characteristic of the times.
