Stockholm Furniture Fair introduces Industry Talks – a platform for exploring the future of the design industry

For 2025, Stockholm Furniture Fair introduces Industry Talks – a seminar programme focusing on today’s most relevant topics in the design industry, with a special emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and circular transformation. The programme is presented in collaboration with TMF, the Swedish Federation of Wood and Furniture Industry, and brings together leading experts, innovators, and decision-makers from the design and architecture sector.

Through an extensive seminar programme, Industry Talks provides a unique platform for knowledge exchange and dialogue, aimed at the entire industry. Over five days, visitors will gain deeper insights into today’s topics and future challenges. The programme includes around twenty seminars covering everything from new sustainable solutions, regulatory requirements, and digital product passports to circular economy and procurement, as well as the transformative impact of AI and digital tools on design and production processes. Partners and contributors include Architects Sweden (Sveriges Arkitekter), the Swedish Institute, Svensk Form, and leading companies and research institutions.

“Our new stage for Industry Talks is the most sought-after and requested forum by the furniture and design industry – and we are so happy to present a strong and relevant lineup of speakers and panels in collaboration with TMF. This collaboration underscores the importance of the entire industry joining forces to tackle the difficult questions and challenges from different perspectives, but with a shared ambition to make good for the future,” says Daniel Heckscher, Director for Stockholm Furniture Fair and Stockholm Design Week.

Industry Talks will take place in Hall C, in the area Material Dialogues which also features a bar and an exhibition designed and curated by Emma Olbers, a renowned Swedish furniture designer with a deep expertise in sustainable design and a strong passion for it. The Material Dialogues bar, stage and exhibition aim to inspire insights and conversations around circularity and lifecycle assessments, showcasing both circular solutions and innovative materials.
