Press release -
The latest at Formex
This spring's Formex ushers in the season with inspiration and trends galore. The event, taking place on 19-22 January 2012, will see the launch of the second edition of Formex's own trend guide Formex Future File No. 2. Visitors will also be treated to future visions and the latest in Swedish handicrafts.
Formex Future File No. 2
The Formex Future File trend guide was launched for the first time at last spring's Formex. This year's edition reports on the latest within consumer trends and creative communication, and provides a wealth of inspiring and thought-provoking tips, ideas and visions. Formex, together with Italian trend agency A+A and Swedish Colourhouse, has also pinpointed a number of future design and interior design trends. The trend guide can be pre-ordered and will be available to buy at the exhibition on stand AG:17. Read more at www.formex.se.
NK Collection – four visions by Beckmans College of Design
"NK Collection – four visions by Beckmans College of Design", which is a guest exhibition put on by students from Beckmans College of Design's programmes for Fashion and Advertising and Graphic Design, illustrates how department store NK could approach fashion design and visual communication in the future. The students have researched NK's history and current product range and been inspired by unexpected global encounters, a playful take on male and female and expressing personality through fashion in new ways. The results are presented in fashion films, digital communication, design programmes and a total of twelve fashion collections. The exhibition has been produced by final-year students at Beckmans College of Design.

Handicrafts – products with personality
The Swedish Crafts Center (KHVC) presents an overview of contemporary Swedish handicrafts at the event. The exhibition showcases samples of unique products produced on a small scale. You get to see the individuals responsible for creating items for the home and body; everything from jewellery, watches and clothing to lighting, soft furnishings and table settings. Stand B11:50
