The participants in Greenhouse and YOUNG Swedish Design 2013 have now been selected!

Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2013 will feature yet another chance for young designers to exhibit their work to producers and visitors from the furniture and lighting industry, the press, and the general public in the Greenhouse exhibition. The exhibitors taking part in Greenhouse 2013 have now been selected.

36 designers and 38 design colleges from sixteen different countries will be exhibiting their work, with an emphasis on Scandinavian exhibitors. Two young designers who have just got the news they have been selected are Mana Trio Flingdal and Mojdeh Hassani from Stockholm.

“We were extremely surprised and extraordinarily happy to be included, and to discover our ideas had appealed to the Jury and that they believed in us. Now we hope to make contact with interested parties from all over the world,” they explained.

You can find the full list of participants in Greenhouse 2013 here.

Greenhouse will also include the premiere of the YOUNG Swedish Design traveling exhibition, which is a competition run by the Swedish Society of Crafts and Design in collaboration with Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair.

“Young Swedish Design opens a window into the future. This time around, there’s a strong sense of social conscience. It’s equally thrilling every time the entries are assembled in the Swedish Society of Crafts and Design’s library on Skeppsholmen in Stockholm and the jury gets to work on its selection process. You get a glimpse of contemporary trends and phenomena,” commented Karin Wiberg from the Swedish Society of Crafts and Design.

There were a record-breaking number of around 400 entries this year and the Jury faced a tough challenge as it got to grips with analyzing the project. There are no limiting categories in Young Swedish Design—free creativity, experimentation, and innovative concepts are encouraged.

This year’s Greenhouse Jury consisted of: Architect Gabriella Gustafson from TAF Architecture Studio, interior designer and designer Anna von Schewen, interior and furniture designer Matti Klenell, and design entrepreneur David Carlsson.

This year’s YOUNG Swedish Design Jury consisted of: Bea Szenfeld, Jani Myrman Kristoffersen, Lotta Kühlhorn, Margot Barolo, Olof Kolte, Sara Szyber, and Thomas Bernstrand. Young Swedish Design opens in Greenhouse at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2013, and then begins its Swedish and international tour.

The Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair will be held at Stockholmsmässan on February 5–9 2013.
