  • Success for this year’s Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair

    The superlatives have been plentiful about this year’s Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, which ended this past weekend. Many have said that it was the best one yet. In total, almost 40,000 visitors made their way to Stockholmsmässan, and the interest of the Fair is growing in all areas.

  • The Accent thermos by Sagaform is the winner of the design award Formex Formidable 2014

    Formex Formidable is an annual design award to encourage and reward interesting, qualitative and contemporary design. The winner of the juried Formex Formidable 2014 is the Accent thermos from Sagaform, designed by Gustav Hallén. The honorary award, People's Choice, goes to Åkerlapp a collection of linen in cooperation between Växbo Lin and Note Design Studio.

  • Question time with design icon Ilse Crawford

    Design is most powerful when it answers our questions about everything new happening in the world. And to get answers we need to ask questions. With the exhibition at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, February 3-7, this year´s Guest of Honour Ilse Crawford wants to engage visitors with a series of questions.

  • Emerging design stars in Greenhouse

    To Greenhouse, designers and design colleges from all over the world are welcome to apply to participate. The Jury has now selected the exhibitors in Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair’s hall for young and up-and-coming designers in 2015. They include Frej Wichmann, M-S-D-S Studio, Malin Bobeck and Pettersen & Hein. 33 designers or design teams and 30 design colleges will be taking part in all.

  • Spring trends at Formex

    ​In a sculptural environment in the entrance hall at Stockholmsmässan, the spring trends Nordic Neat, Nordic Essence, Nordic Motion and Nordic Folk will be displayed at Formex interior design and gifts fair on January 14 - 17, 2015.

  • The Nordic kitchen in the spotlight at Formex

    At the Formex interior design and gifts exhibition on January 14-17, 2015, the Nordic kitchen will be in the spotlight at the exhibition's pop-up restaurant, which this time will be called Nordic Eat. In creating the area, the food has as much importance as the interior design.

  • Design bar with a scent of Norrland

    At the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, February 3–7, 2015, the Design Bar will be integrated into a new knowledge area that will also include a stage and an exhibition. The task of creating an overall concept for the area went to designer Mattias Stenberg, who offers visitors the pallette of Norrland’s colors, materials and flavors – with a clearly modern twist.

  • A world of its own at Greenhouse – in the mind of a designer

    In 2015 Note Design Studio will design Greenhouse, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair's hall for promising young designers. A visit to Greenhouse should be like stepping into a designer’s mind – a space for reflection and projection of dreams. For the next Fair, which will take place from February 3-7, 2015, Greenhouse also has a new jury.

  • Brynjar Sigurðarson er tilnefndur fyrir hönd Íslands til Nova-verðlaunanna – hönnuður ársins á Norðurlöndunum

    Hinn 13. ágúst mun Formex, helsti vettvangur Norðurlandanna fyrir nýjar vörur, strauma, þekkingu og innblástur í innanhússhönnun, veita Nova-hönnunarverðlaunin – hönnuður ársins á Norðurlöndunum. Verðlaunin verða afhent ungum hönnuði sem starfar á Norðurlöndunum og valinn hefur verið af dómnefnd sérfræðinga. Brynjar Sigurðarson hefur verið tilnefndur fyrir Íslands hönd.
