  • Winners of Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair´s award Editors’ Choice 2018

    Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair’s award - Editors’ Choice - will be handed out for the third consecutive year. The jury consists of Editors-in-Chief from several of Europe’s most important design forums. The 2018 jury consists of Marcus Fairs, Dezeen; Adeline Seidel, Stylepark; Donatella Bollani, Domus and Costas Voyatzis, Yatzer.

  • Ten things you absolutely won’t want to miss at Formex, January 17-20

    Formex, which will be held January 17-20, is the kick-off for the spring season in the interior design industry. Visitors can listen to many interesting speakers, such as one of the world’s leading trend forecasters, Li Edelkoort, and lifestyle trend expert and researcher Mads Arlien-Søborg. This year’s Formex Formidable design award will be presented at Wednesday’s press breakfast.

  • Step into Elsa Beskow’s fabulous world at Formex

    For the 100th anniversary of Aunt Green, Aunt Brown and Aunt Lavender, Bonnier Brands is creating the wonderful fairy tale world imagined by the mother of Swedish children’s books, Elsa Beskow. The exhibition is a collaboration with internationally renowned JoAnn Tan Studio.

  • A World of Shapes at Formex

    ​“A World of Shapes” is the theme of the spring Formex interior design fair, which will be held January 17 20, 2018. Inspired by artist David Hockney, the theme revolves around different interior objects that form still lifes and new groupings to create innovative, playful forms and constellations.

  • *EN-AW 6082 - monumental objects with the material in focus

    ​Christian Halleröd design will design the Trend Exhibition - EN-AW 6082 - at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, February 6-10, 2018. CHd has designed store interiors for Acne Studios and Byredo, among others. The exhibition investigates themes such as real, fake and craftsmanship and is a collaboration with the Materials Library.

  • Design Bar serves up a visual journey and a design embrace

    The assignment to create the Design Bar at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair on February 6 10, 2018 has gone to the designer Luca Nichetto. This time, the menu is being created in collaboration with Lina Ahlin, chef at the restaurant Agrikultur in Stockholm.

    Qian Jiang - winner of the Formex Nova 2017 design award - has been invited by design studio FUWL, Form Us With Love, to participate in Prototypa at Somerset House in London in parallel with the London Design Festival, September 18 - 24, 2017.

  • Paola Navone is the Guest of Honour 2018

    Being citizen of the world and something of an anthropologist, Paola Navone – Italian architect, product designer, interior designer and artistic director – has been commissioned to create an installation for the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair.

  • Qian Jiang wins the Formex Nova 2017 design award

    Qian Jiang has been named the winner of Formex Nova, which goes to a young designer in the Nordic region. The winner is named by an expert jury and receives in part a sponsored activity at a value of SEK 50,000.

  • Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair strengthens its position at the international design scene

    ​Last weekend, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair closed its doors on this year's event. The fair is continuing to grow and strengthen its position as the world’s largest and most important meeting place for Scandinavian design. The number of foreign visitors increased by more than 6.5% to almost 10,700 and represented a record-setting 80 countries.

    ​February 7-11, it is time for Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, the world's largest meeting place for Scandinavian design. Buyers, architects, designers and journalists from more than 60 countries will come to the fair. More than 80 design events will also be held throughout the entire city as part of Stockholm Design Week.

  • Stelton wins the Formex Formidable 2016 design award

    The jury-selected award Formex Formidable 2016 goes to Stelton for its Collar collection, which consists of a coffee grinder, mocha pot, milk jug and sugar bowl. The collection was designed by Daniel Debiasi and Federico Sandri. The People’s Choice award, which is selected by the general public, goes to Skrufs glasbruk’s bowl with spout designed by Carina Seth Andersson.

  • Formex - filled with inspiration and design

    At Fomrex, the largest meeting place for nordic interior and design, January 18-21, 2017, visitors are treated to several design experiences. For example, the winner of Formex Formidable, an annual design award, will be announced and the rug as an object of art and design will be highlighted in its own exhibition.

    Greenhouse, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair’s hall for young and unestablished designers, is a stepping stone for many of tomorrow’s design stars.The jury has now selected who will exhibit in 2017, including names such as Lies-Marie Hoffmann, Frag Woodall, Studio Føy and yuue design. In total, 31 designers or design teams and 31 design colleges from 18 countries will be taking part.
