ZÜBLIN Chimney and Refractory: New dual leadership in management

  • Rudolf Mallweger and Susanne Winter are the new management team of the chimney and refractory company

On 1 May 2019, Rudolf Mallweger took office as technical director of Cologne-based Züblin Chimney and Refractory GmbH, a subsidiary of Ed. Züblin AG. He succeeds Viktor Klaus, who passed away last year, and thus joins Susanne Winter, who had already taken over the commercial management in January 2019. Mallweger can look back on more than 35 years of experience in the refractory and chimney engineering sector and has led some well-known companies in the industry, such as BEROA Deutschland GmbH and Calderys Austria GesmbH. He is also on the board of dgfs, the German Society for Refractory and Chimney Engineering.

Susanne Winter has been responsible for the commercial management of Züblin Chimney and Refractory GmbH since 1 January 2019 after assuming the duties of Claudia Lutzenberger, who moved to Züblin Spezialtiefbau GmbH. Previously, Winter had spent many years in auditing and most recently worked as an internal auditor.

For Winter and Mallweger, the focus is on the development of new technologies and the conquest of new sectors: “ZÜBLIN Chimney and Refractory has developed very dynamically in recent years,” says Mallweger. I am pleased to continue to shape the future of our company together with Susanne Winter and the entire team.”
