14th Wizz Air route from Malmö Airport

Today Wizz Air starts servicing an additional route from Malmö Airport. The destination is the university city of Debrecen in Hungary. It will be the airline's fourteenth route and second Hungarian destination serviced directly from Malmö Airport.

Debrecen, a university city located in the eastern part of Hungary, is the country's second largest city. In December the airline will begin servicing three new airports, Malmö Airport, Brussels Charleroi and Paris Beauvais, from the city that will become Wizz Air's second airport city in Hungary after Budapest. The Malmö-Debrecen route is serviced twice weekly, Mondays and Fridays, and will be operated with an Airbus A320.

- We are excited about Wizz Air´s expansion and investment into Malmö Airport. While the passengers from south of Sweden gets another exciting destination to visit in Hungary this service also makes it easier for people to visit friends and family as they can always fly direct with Wizz Air, says Peter Weinhandl, Airport Director at Malmö Airport.

In addition to Debrecen, the following destinations are serviced by Wizz Air at Malmö Airport: Belgrade, Budapest, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Gdansk, Katowice, Poznan, Nis, Vilnius, Skopje, Sofia, Tuzla and Warsaw.
