Swedavia appoints Robert Pletzin as new Head of Press

Swedavia appoints Robert Pletzin as its new Head of Press as of today, with the responsibility for media relations at Swedavias ten Swedish airports, including Stockholm Arlanda Airport.

Robert Pletzin has for a number of years worked with communication in various roles at Swedish energy group Vattenfall, focusing on proactive media work and corporate communication, assuming the position of Media Relations Manager Group & Corporate before joining Swedavia.

– Robert’s broad media and communication experience will be an addition to us at time when we are taking on the possibilities of the new communication landscape, where one of the important topics is to tell about the development of climate smart airports of the future, says Linda Sjödin, Marketing and Communication Director at Swedavia.

Robert Pletzin has a background in journalism, working for more than a decade at leading media outlets, such as news paper Dagens Industri and news agencies Nyhetsbyrån Direkt and Thomson Reuters. As Head of Press he will replace Hans Uhrus, who has assumed the role of interim Head of Press for Swedavia.

– I am excited and honoured alike to join Swedavia and the opportunity to develop Swedavias media relations together with the team, communicating Swedavia’s important infrastructure role and enabling people to meet whilst working towards sustainable aviation, says Robert Pletzin, Head of Press at Swedavia.
