The future is now. Let’s accelerate Agenda 2030.

2016 is the first year on the road towards the global goals. It is the first year all countries are following a common agenda to root out extreme poverty and counteract the climate threat. Swedfund’s Integrated Report 2016 explains how we integrate the global goals in our business model and investment process.

For the 4th time Swedfund presents a fully integrated report, where both the company’s as well as our portfolio companies’ results is shown and reflected on our three pillars; Impact on society, Sustainability and Financial viability. During 2016, Swedfund agreed new investments amounting to SEK 860 million in equity, loans and funds in our three prioritised sectors; Energy, Financial Institutions and Manufacturing and Services. The average growth in jobs in our portfolio companies was 2.7 percent. 96 percent of the companies state that they have a sustainability or environmental policy. 79 percent that they adhere to the ILO Core Conventions and 83 percent that they have an anti-corruption policy.

Swedfund’s mission is to combat poverty, and our tool is via sustainable business create decent jobs and inclusive growth. Through new forms of partnerships between private companies, politics and civil society we can inspire and clear the way for other players and financiers. We can be a catalyst for change.

Agenda 2029 is our way of saying that it is urgent. We have 14 years to go. Let’s accelerate Agenda 2030.
