Award-winning Swegon opens new factory in India

Swegon wins the Innovation Award of Excellence for one of its holistic solutions. The Swedish manufacturer takes the award as compliment for its leading role in creating complete systems for commercial indoor climate applications. "This award underlines the change within the industry from component towards solution and system-thinking. We at Swegon are leading the industry toward new benchmarks," says a proud Mats Holmqvist, CEO of Swegon AB, Sweden.

Acrex exhibition 2012 in Bangalore, India, was a successful event for Swegon, the number one system supplier in commercial indoor climate: Blue Box, a company of the Swegon-group, announced to build a new plant in India.

‘The plant will be located near Mumbai and start off as an assembly of our close control products’, reports Mats Holmqvist. The factory is going to be a platform to serve the Indian market as well as the Middle East area. ’Our goal is to start assembly in the new plant during the fourth quarter of 2012.’
