Record breaking year for Swegon

Swegon, the market leader in energy efficient ventilation and climate systems and the largest wholly owned company in Investment AB Latour, has grown into one of the most profitable Swedish companies. 2011 was a fantastic year for Swegon and sales increased by about 26 percent to 2 707 billion SEK (2 153).

The organic growth is 13 percent after currency adjustments. Also the operating margin improved and is now above 11 percent. The company's CEO, Mats Holmqvist, notes with satisfaction: - This is entirely consistent with the plan we have for the upcoming 3-year period. The goal is to grow as a global supplier. We want to lead the industry and its development with our complete system solutions and create a healthy and energy efficient indoor environment for both humans and environment.

Today, the Nordic sales make up about 59 percent of the entire sales. The rest of the world account for 41 percent, a proportion that has grown from 31 percent in 2010. Some markets have made a remarkable growth. In Germany the growth was 54 percent, in Belgium 77 percent and in Russia 86 percent.

Focus on product development

During the past year, considerable efforts have been made in product development and according to  CEO Mats Holmqvist, these continued investments will result in a stronger position in the world market of ventilation and system solutions.

- Swegon has always been a pioneer when it comes to developing new products. This is being demonstrated right now at the Nordbygg- fair here in Stockholm where where we are launching our new inVENTilation, TELLUS.
