Swegon nominated again for the Big Indoor Climate Award

New WISE has been remodelled from scratch and is designed to make the entire construction process as smooth and simple as possible. WISE is a self-healing system comprised of smart components that enable fast commissioning and seamless installation. The system is also based on state-of-the-art technology for wireless communications to streamline later stages of the construction process and future conversions, making it possible to convert or modify the premises and assign new roles to the components.

A patented radio solution enables the WISE system’s products, e.g. dampers and diffusers, to communicate via built-in radio nodes. This means considerable cost savings for cable routing and eliminates the risk of incorrect connections.

“New WISE opens up a whole range of opportunities to introduce smart features in the future. What’s more, it gives customers, via our new web interface, an instant and complete picture of the climate inside the building,” says Åsa Norén-Lundh, Product Manager at Swegon.

Big Indoor Climate Award

The Big Indoor Climate Award recognises companies and organisations which operate in the indoor climate, energy and HVAC sectors and have developed a valuable product, service or methodology that possesses real potential for practical application. The product/service/methodology must be innovative, contribute to a good indoor climate and long-term, efficient use of resources.

The award aims to drive interest in indoor climate technology, strengthen its position and draw attention to technologies that promote a healthy indoor climate in energy-efficient buildings.

The panel of judges for the Big Indoor Climate Award comprises representatives from the Energy and Environmental Technology Association, the Swedish Society of Refrigeration, and Svensk Ventilation (Swedish trade organisation for ventilation companies), the chairman Lars Ekberg, Associate Professor at the Division of Building Services Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology, and a manager for the Real Estate and Industry business areas at CIT Energy Management AB.

The ceremony will take place at the Indoor Climate Gala in Stockholm on 18 May 2017 and the award will be presented by Alf Karlsson, State Secretary to the Minister for Housing and Digital Development, Peter Eriksson (Green Party).

Swegon has received the Big Indoor Climate Award on two previous occasions. In 2007, it was awarded for the PARASOL comfort module which, with its 4-way diffusion and superior comfort, set a new benchmark for comfort ventilation in the market. In 2011, it was awarded for Hotel Solution which is an efficiently designed system of interacting products that meets the high standard requirements of hotels for comfort.
