Tana was founded in Norway by Olav Sindre Kriken, Tarjei Vassbotn and Grim Iversen, who was early on Google Wave, and is a fully remote team with roots in west-coast villages like Ørsta and Volda. Tana won Product Hunt's Launch of the Year in 2025 for its context graph before rebuilding around meetings and memory. Backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Tola Capital.
