New pulsation dampener from Tapflo
The media is pumped through the pulsation dampener, and passes a pneumatically controlled diaphragm. The diaphragm counteracts the pulsations, that are inherent in the design of a pneumatic double diaphragm pump, lowering them with up to 90%.
-The Tapflo series of pulsation dampeners are now supplied with an upgraded design, offering increased reliability, higher resistance against chemical attacks and with a wide range of installation designs, explains Hakan Ekstrand at Tapflo Group.
Industrial and sanitary executions are offered, in non-metallic materials PE and PTFE, as well as in acid proof steel AISI 316. An unique design is utilized in the PTFE dampeners, in order to avoid the commonly seen material expansion, when using PTFE.
Tapflo´s new series of pulsation dampeners, has been performance tested at ”Statens Provningsanstalt” in Sweden.
-We now also offers an installation, where the Tapflo pulsation dampener and the Tapflo Guardian pump control system are combined in a single unit. This compact unit gives the pump user not only a smooth flow, but also a system that continuously monitor the condition of the diaphragms, stopping the pump in case of a failure, ends Hakan Ekstrand.
