Scand-Media farewell to long time staff

Scand-Media held on Tuesday 25 February 2014 a staff party to mark the departure of two long time staff members, Graphic Designer Natcha 'Ann' Thankunlanan and Marketing Assistant Gamonchanok 'Gig' Gandarangkul.

Khun Ann left to continue her development as a freelance graphic designer. She has during her time with Scand-Media designed many beautiful and functional books, brochures, posters, logos and much more. Scand-Media expect to become one of her core clients.

Khun Gig will devote herself to supporting her family. Her husband has recently become a commercial pilot, the couple's son will soon start in primary school, and Gig plans herself to extend her education with a master degree.

Staying five and six years with Scand-Media is quite normal. The company enjoys a very slow turnover of staff. The Scand-Media group currently employs over 25 people and several of them have worked with the company for over ten years. It has become part of the corporate culture of the company to endeavour to accommodate personal growth plans for its staff members inside the company instead of seeing staff move out to further their career.

The replacement for the two staff members leaving has not yet been selected. A few people within the publishing sector in Thailand who had heard about the opening even before the jobs were posted had requested interviews, but according to Gregers Moller the selection process will not start until the middle of March 2014 when the application period ends.
