Hurtigruten's first Big makeover soon finished

The complete makeover of four out of five coastal ships for Hurtigruten are soon finished. Ms Kong Harald, MS Polarlys, MS Nordkapp, MS Spitsbergen are now delivered and MS Nordnorge will come later this year.

"These ships have been given a new and fresh ‘Scandivanian interior' with a distinctly contemporary Norwegian identity. Both the name ‘New Arctic Interiors‘ and the new look of the inside spaces, reflects the breath-taking coastal landscapes that the ships sail past", says Fredrik Johansson, one of TDoS owners. 

"We have made it stylish and yet unpretentious. The colors and materials are natural, earthy and derive from the coast and the sea. The new interiors feature wood, slate and leather – and fire! One of the main changes on the ships is that we opened up the rooms to achieve a more spacious and contemporary ambience. This also creates better sightlines between the areas, which also makes it easier to orientate", adds Fredrik Johansson.

When MS NordNorge refit is finished, Tillberg Design of Sweden will move focus to the design for Hurtigruten New Build project, delivery due in October 2018.
