Tobu Railway announces the latest edition of its guide booklet “Rail Travel in Japan with Tobu Railway” just released for 2021!

The booklet introduces the wonderful, natural, and historical sightseeing experiences that visitors encounter along Tobu Railway routes with information on transportation and accommodations.

Tobu Railways covers the longest operating distance in the Kanto region. It reaches from Metropolitan Tokyo north to Tochigi and Saitama prefectures, home to a plethora of historical, cultural and natural, seasonal tourist attractions. Stroll Edo-era towns in authentic kimono; take a canal boat ride beneath blossomed cherry trees; witness a- 100-year-old annual fireworks display near an enormous flower park; hike through woodlands or take a pleasure boat cruise on Japan’s highest altitude lake during the pinnacle of fall foliage; enjoy winter sake and light-ups of trees and traditional buildings covered in snow.

Along the Tobu Railway, visitors embrace Tokyo’s Old and New in time-honored Asakusa and modern TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN. TOKYO SKYTREE, the world’s tallest free-standing broadcasting tower, is a beacon to the future, but it is also the departure point for a relaxing two-hour limited express train journey from Tokyo to the small town and countryside of Nikko and Kinugawa-Onsen. This area is often called Okunikko or “deep Nikko,” for is lush nature, waterfalls, hot springs, and outdoor adventure activities.

Just one-hour north of Tokyo travelers encounter the Tatebayashi and Ashikaga areas, with their world-famous blooming flower fields. Just half-an-hour north is Kawagoe, renowned for its historic “Candy Lane,” and bygone-style, wooden machiya shops reliving the ambiance of old Edo.
