New powerful U-plough – Trejon Optimal UPX Heavy Duty
Trejon Introduces the Next Generation of U-Ploughs: Trejon Optimal UPX 500 and 540 Heavy Duty. Developed for contractors who demand high capacity, flexibility, and durability in their winter operations, the new models are designed to withstand the toughest conditions in professional snow clearing and road maintenance. With a floating position and a range of smart design solutions, the UPX series delivers a ploughing experience that combines precision, power, and ease of use.

Flexible Ploughing in All Conditions
The Trejon Optimal U-plough is the most versatile solution for efficient road maintenance. The entire plough can be angled diagonally ±30 degrees, which—combined with the wings’ pronounced curvature—allows the plough to efficiently push large volumes of snow when operating in diagonal mode. The wings can also be angled to +90° to collect snow in front of the plough or to -90° to minimize transport width—an appreciated feature for contractors who frequently move between job sites.
For Larger Tool Carriers
The ploughs in the series are equipped with a heavy-duty mounting with integrated floating position. The net weight starts at just under 2,000 kg for the 5-meter model, and exposed components are further reinforced compared to Trejon’s other U-plough series. This makes these models recommended for tool carriers up to 20 tonnes. For larger machines, the UPX 540 features a wider center section than the UPX 500, making it even better suited for heavier tool carriers.
Built for Large Volumes of Snow
The new UPX 500 and 540 Heavy Duty are designed to handle large amounts of snow quickly and efficiently. The positive cutting edge angle of 15° ensures a clean and effective ploughing result while minimizing wear. Thanks to a smart hydraulic design, the plough can be operated using only one double-acting hydraulic outlet, despite having three hydraulic functions. This makes both installation and operation simple and cost-effective. As an option, selected functions can also be operated via a separate hydraulic outlet.
Trejon Optimal UPX 500 and 540 Heavy Duty are now available through Trejon’s dealer network across Europe.
