Press release -

Ground-breaking Trioplast Stretch Hood Film with up to 50% post-consumer recycled material

Waste materials need to be recycled. As a market leader in high-quality Stretch Hood film, Trioplast are committed to always do more and take the lead in designing sustainable solutions for the future. Therefore, the Trioplast Group continuously develop expertise to decrease use of non-renewable raw materials.

Trioplast have developed what is likely to be the world’s first Stretch Hood film made from up to 50% post-consumer recycled polyethylene. This marks a visionary milestone for the company as indications show a carbon footprint reduction of more than 30% compared to fossil-based film – without increasing film thickness or compromising on product performance.

With the Trioloop brand for recycled polyethylene, Trioplast aim to be in the vanguard of new developments within innovative and sustainable packaging solutions based on polyethylene film. Part of that ambition is to produce the world’s best performing and most sustainable Stretch Hood film.

Stretch Hood film is increasingly becoming the preferred packaging method for palletized goods in many industries across the world – and understandably so. Stretch Hood packaging offers a cost-beneficial film solution that is highly automated and flexible, with models also allowing the same Stretch Hood film to be used for different pallet sizes. Furthermore, the strength and durability of Stretch Hood film provides superior pallet stability, while protecting the goods against all kinds of weather conditions such as rain, wind, dust, and UV-exposure.

The new cutting-edge Trioloop Stretch Hood film comes in three sustainable models: Secure Trioloop with 50% post-consumer recycled (PCR) material and Premium Trioloop and Ultra Tough Trioloop, both including 50% recycled material with a split of 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) material and 20% post-industrial-recycled (PIR) material. With these three new Trioloop Stretch Hood films, sustainable alternatives complying to legislative initiatives are available for a multitude of industries such as; whitegoods, insulation, building & construction, horticulture, wood pellets and many more.
