Photoshop CS5 Series: Camera Raw Part 1

This video about Adobe Camera Raw in our Photoshop CS5 Series takes you through a practical run-through of the tool’s many image settings, including straightening an image, using the spot removal tool, and adjusting an image’s exposure, contrast, toning detail, colour, and more.

Adobe Camera Raw is a popular post-processing option for professional photographers. It allows them to work on the raw pixels of any image without actually touching the data during the process. Images shot in raw mode differ from ones in JPEG because the latter is modified through a series of pre-rendered settings, such as interpolation, white balance, compression, and so on. With the raw image format, rendering is bypassed and can be fully done using Adobe Camera Raw.
