Adder Management Recognized in National ‘Manufacturer Top 100’ Awards

Adder’s Head of Production, Curt Boon, has been included in the coveted 2019 Manufacturer Top 100 List. Designed to represent everything inspiring about UK manufacturing, the awards acknowledge individuals who have made a significant impact in the manufacturing industry whilst carving the way for a successful future in the businesses they represent.

Since joining Adder in 2018, Curt has championed a hugely successful overhaul of its manufacturing processes. His dynamic approach to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, combined with a passion to inspire young members of the team, has all equated to Curt being recognized as a leader in Driving Cultural Change.

What advice would you give to your younger self? Don't be afraid to take controlled risks and don't think too hard about career decisions - if your gut feeling is to go for it then just do it! It's better to regret something you tried than regret not trying something at all!

What is your favorite engineered/manufactured product? Anything Apple! I love the quality, the care and attention that goes into designing their renowned and class-leading user experience.

Tell us one interesting fact about yourself that not many people know. My first car was a 1966 Hillman Imp which I restored from a very sorry state when I was 16! I still own the car today although it’s been off the road and cosy in my garage since I got married!

If you weren't in manufacturing what would be your dream job? I would have loved to run my own electronics design/manufacturing company.
