How Adder’s ARDx™ Solution Is Redefining Remote Access KVM
When Adder launched ARDx™, it wasn’t just another KVM product, it was a response to a fast-changing world where remote access is now essential.
As Mark Pescatore, Content Director, Systems Contractor News (SCN) noted in a recent podcast, “Your ARDx solution, that’s been around for about a year now. How is that changing the KVM game?”
Jamie Adkin, VP EMEA Sales, Adder Technology gave an answer that made it clear: ARDx is raising the bar for performance, functionality, and flexibility across industries.
Real-Time Access, Anywhere
“ARDx is really a response to the growing need for remote access KVM,” Jamie explained. “There have been solutions on the market that provide out-of-band access for a number of years now, but ultimately customers are looking for greater functionality and at the same time, greater performance.”
In short, ARDx is built for real-time, high performance access, whether over the public internet, a private WAN, or a local network. It allows users to securely connect to computers and control systems from anywhere, without sacrificing the speed or image quality that professional environments demand.
Changing the Game Across Industries
While ARDx is making an impact in traditional command and control settings; helping operators deliver video signals to monitoring walls or process systems. However, the change doesn’t just stop there, as ARDx is also transforming other industries including the medical and industrial control sectors.
“In those markets, customers may be leveraging ARDx to access their critical machines and devices,” Jamie said. “Sometimes it’s the end user… but quite often it’s also leveraging out as an embedded model, where manufacturers might take our ADDERView® Portal and ARDx technology, and embed it into their product.”
That means ARDx isn’t just being used by end users, it is also embedded by other technology manufacturers into their own solutions. For instance, a medical equipment manufacturer could bundle ARDx into their imaging system, allowing hospitals to both operate it locally and access it remotely for maintenance or support.
Built for a Connected World
What makes ARDx stand out is its versatility. It’s equally suited for on-site technicians who need quick access to machinery from another part of a facility, or manufacturers who want to support customers globally.
“Anyone who’s really taking critical machinery and distributing it with customers around the world and needing to provide them with a level of extra support. ARDx is able to provide that as well.”
The Next Step in KVM Evolution
ARDx represents a new chapter in the evolution of KVM. One focused on remote collaboration, embedded integration, and always-on access.
As Jamie explained, “It’s really about the functionality and the performance upgrades that we’re seeing over more traditional approaches to this problem.”
