Cambridge, United Kingdom, 27 May 2026 – Adder Technology, a specialist in connectivity solutions and high performance IP KVM, today announced a major upgrade to its next-generation remote access technology, ARDx™. The latest release introduces multi-head connectivity, user-defined automatic framerate control, and an updated interface designed to enhance the user experience. A new software development kit (SDK) creates expanded opportunities for developers to integrate ARDx into their own platforms, applications, and workflows. Additional system configuration and network management enhancements simplify deployment and improve control of multiple video sources from a single workspace.
David White, product owner at Adder, said: “The latest ARDx release reflects how our customers are using remote access KVM in increasingly diverse and demanding environments. Since ARDx launched, we’ve seen adoption across a wide range of applications, and this upgrade delivers the flexibility, visibility, and integration capabilities users need to manage those workflows more effectively.”
Multi-head control, greater operational visibility
The ARDx update introduces multi-head capability, designed for users who need to access multiple video sources from a single workspace. Leveraging HDMI™ and DisplayPort™ connectivity via the ARDx enabled ADDERLink™ Portal R110 Zero U™ dongles, operators gain greater flexibility to connect to the sources they need across the network.
Empowering developers with flexible KVM integrations
For system integrators and developers, Adder has added an SDK that enables integration directly into their own platforms, third-party applications, and products. By using the SDK, customers benefit from customized development, automated processes, and seamless integration into existing control systems, including AI-driven workflows.
Taking control of network capacity
As network optimization becomes increasingly critical for organizations, the demand for secure and reliable remote access continues to grow. Managing how data, particularly video, is transmitted and received helps maximize network efficiency while maintaining an exceptional user experience at the desktop. The latest ARDx release introduces built-in controls that allow operators to target framerates per source, delivering greater flexibility and bandwidth optimization across the network. Once defined, ARDx automatically ensures network bandwidth remains optimal for those sources.
Fresh interface for effortless total control
The ARDx Viewer features an updated user interface designed for faster navigation and simplified configuration. Incorporating both light and dark mode options, the refreshed design enables users to access critical settings more efficiently while adapting to different working environments.
More about ARDx Demand for real-time remote desktop access with minimal latency and low bandwidth management are increasing customer expectations, particularly in creative industries as well as industrial environments and medical sectors. Adder’s ARDx technology and ARDx enabled devices allow users to safely and securely monitor and control remotely located devices in real-time and with extreme precision. Key features of ARDx include simple plug and play integration compatible with multiple sources and out-of-band access, delivering the highest quality video, audio and USB connectivity.
