Flying the French Flag at Bennington Green
BENNINGTON Green is delighted to welcome a French student again this year.
This will be the third year they have extended a warm ‘bienvenue’ to different French students who now habitually visit for work placements.
Sebastien Biton, who is studying Engineering and Economy of Construction heralds from the Pays de la Loire region in France and will be working alongside Bennington Green’s Building Surveying team for the next eight weeks, in the hope that he will gain experience and improve his English language skills at the same time.
He applied to Bennington Green to continue his studies and gain experience in their Bournemouth office and is shadowing staff to learn a little more about Building Surveying and Civil Engineering.
Sebastien, 22, is studying towards his degree at ECOTEC de Cergy Saint Christophe, north west of Paris.
Nigel Soloman, Managing Director of Bennington Green said: “It’s always a pleasure to welcome students from overseas as they are the future of the construction industry in Europe. With the rich diversity and knowledge we have at Bennington Green, it’s a good place to learn the ropes and these placements are also beneficial for our regular staff. I expect them to all be fluent in the French language by the time Sebastien leaves!”
Nigel added: “We’ve got some great high profile projects underway so we hope to keep Sebastien entertained during his stay.”

Bennington Green was established in 1992 by Damon Green.
In August 2005, the company was acquired by Nigel Soloman, a Chartered Engineer, and Keith Kirkwood, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Bennington Green Ltd was created.
In 2012 they acquired Richard Neale Associates and both Damon Green - one of the leading Chartered Building Surveyors in the area - and Richard Neale continue to provide consultancy services to the business.
