Anna Victoria Launches New Textile Design Portfolio
ANNA VICTORIA, one of Cornwall’s hottest new textile designers will be unveiling her new design portfolio at the Trereife House Easter Fair, Nr Newlyn, Penzance on the 22-25 April 2011.
Anna Victoria, chose the beautiful setting of Trereife House, recently featured on Channel 4’s Country House Rescue, as the official launch pad for her stunning new range of limited edition giclee art prints, greetings cards and handcrafted bespoke wedding stationery.
Anna Victoria’s new range encompasses a vibrant and quirky selection of fashionable new designs and narratives including the beautiful and popular ‘Flock Fish’ design which has been updated and extended in response to customer demand. Anna’s work is continually inspired by Cornish seascapes, colour and culture and is a passionate tribute to local Cornish country life. The complete new range will be exhibited in full at Trereife and on sale to visitors in the Craft Market and Gallery Marquee.
A textile designer by trade, Anna’s eclectic design-led artwork is inspired by vintage textile prints, patterns and kitsch colour fusions. She cleverly and painstakingly combines traditional detailed hand-drawn illustrations, stitched, printed and collage found fabric with digital applications to create distinctive, quirky and characterful greetings cards for all occasions.
Other exhibitors at the Trereife Easter Fair include Andy Appleton head chef of Jamie Oliver’s inspired ‘Fifteen’ restaurant and Sanjay Kumar from Slow Food Cornwall, alongside Robin Turner and Nick Howells from Newlyn’s fish industry.
The Trereife House Grand Easter Egg Hunt will also be taking place in the woods and around the Estate’s walled garden for younger visitors to enjoy.
