London - 21 October 2020: DreamToys 2020 will take place digitally this year on Wednesday, October 28th.

Alongside the announcement of the top 12 for Christmas, the Toy Retailers Association will be raising the concerns that the public are underestimating how important it is to shop early this year. Analyst numbers show the majority of consumers leave their shopping to the last few weeks of the year, however, due to social distancing restrictions, retailers will not be able to service as many shoppers as usual. While online shopping will be able to take some of the strain, couriers are already close to capacity and will struggle to meet demand close to Christmas.

This is why the TRA are encouraging consumer to shop early to guarantee toys will be under the Christmas tree this year.
