BANDAI NAMCO UNVEILS CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS, LAUNCHING IN 2026
Lyon, France - 5 February 2026 - Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe today announced CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS, the next episode of Tsubasa’s riveting adventure, coming in 2026. The debut trailer showcases the thrill of football actions with more teams and characters than before, featuring 22 national teams, over 110 playable characters, and more than 150 unique animated special moves on the pitch. Challengers from around the world — including teams that did not appear in the previous instalment and original teams and characters — clash in glorious, meticulous animation, bringing the excitement of these once‑in‑a‑lifetime moments to new heights. CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS is coming in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WOLRD FIGHTERS invites fans to follow their journey to victory by creating their own character and joining Tsubasa on his quest. Players will forge new friendships, fight new rivals, and bring the trophy back home.

Action on the field has been significantly enhanced for this new release. New super moves increase the intensity of every part of the game, allowing players to dominate the field when they pass, dribble, tackle or block with their own special techniques. Even blocking goal shots becomes more tactical with a new system that pits goalkeeper against shooter, letting both players experience and counter jaw dropping super shots and blocks from characters of the original series.
