Cosplay Central Crown Championships Moves to London in May 2026
The Cosplay Central Crown Championships will be coming to MCM London Comic Con in May 2026, bringing together competitors from across the globe.
London, 1st July: ReedPop are excited to announce that the Cosplay Central Crown Championships will be coming to MCM London Comic Con in May 2026.
Cosplay has always been a key pillar of MCM Comic Con, and next year, MCM will be at the centre of the international cosplay event circuit. This move will simultaneously bring an exciting new feature to MCM London Comic Con, and enable ReedPop to continue growing the Cosplay Central Crown Championships into an even bigger event.
This competition will welcome international cosplayers back to the stage in London, featuring the best cosplayers from events across the globe. Confirmed international selection events include: PAX Aus (Australia), Comic Con Africa (South Africa), Paris Manga (France), Japan Weekend Madrid (Spain), C2E2 (USA) and UniCon (Latvia), with more to be announced.
For UK Cosplayers, the road to the Crown starts at MCM Birmingham Comic Con 2025 — and the stakes have never been higher! With an elevated cash prize and a shot at representing the UK on the global stage in London, the Birmingham qualifier is the ultimate moment to show off your skills
For competitors in the United States, regional winners at Emerald City Comic Con, Florida Supercon and New York Comic Con will head to C2E2 to join the newly selected winner in Chicago for the USA and North America final. The winner of the final round will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to London to compete against the world’s other National Champions and experience the incredible cosplay community at MCM London Comic Con.
There will be no changes to the format of the competition, and the judging criteria and stage show format will remain unchanged. However, instead of traveling internationally to the finals, the UK National winners will receive a larger cash prize at MCM Birmingham
MCM Comic Con is the ultimate celebration of pop and geek culture, playing host to a packed schedule of celebrity guests, insightful panels and unforgettable experiences. After a successful show in May, MCM Comic Con will next be taking place in London again from the 24th - 26th of October, followed by MCM Birmingham Comic Con from the 28th - 30th of November.
