EGX 2023 is One Week Away: Everything You Need to Know

Thursday 5 October 2023, London: EGX 2023, the UK’s biggest video game fan convention is one week away - taking place 12–15 October at ExCel London.

Organisers ReedPop and headline partners TikTok are creating an unmissable fan experience with attendees able to visit the TikTok Lounge and fans given the opportunity to meet their favourite creators such as TommyInnit, Bekyamon and more.

Nintendo will be present at EGX 2023, bringing to the show floor the UK’s first public demo of Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

Also Ubisoft’s up and coming title Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will also be playable for fans in the new Handheld Zone.

SEGA will also be bringing the latest instalments of two iconic franchises, with Sonic Superstars and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth for the first time in the UK. As well as Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man who Erased His Name, Persona 3 Reloads, Persona 5 Tactica and Total War: Pharaoh.

The video game community can enjoy a host of fascinating and insightful panels. These include a Q&A with the cast of Baldur’s Gate 3, a closer look at Alan Wake 2 with Remedy Entertainment Creative Director Sam Lake, and the now-annual Sea of Thieves community panel with the team from Rare.

There will also be anniversary celebrations of British classics Fable 2 - featuring Peter Molyneux - and Banjo Kazooie, and a host of sessions from industry experts on getting into the games industry, understanding game development, hot industry topics and live play from the Eurogamer team.

For attendees with more of a competitive streak, open tournaments for Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 and Bandai Namco’s Tekken 7 will be taking place at the EGX Arena, with a £5,000 prize pool up for grabs for each.

Alongside the many panels, meet and greets and other exciting opportunities, families can attend and meet the Family Gaming Database team at the dedicated Family Zone. In this space, parents will be able to speak to the team, find their perfect game, and play it with their children on the consoles provided.

There’s so much more taking place too. Attendees can play classic video games on the Super Nintendo, original PlayStation and much more in the Retro Zone, check out brilliant indies in the Rezzed Zone, play board games in the Dicebreaker Zone, TGC favourites in Card Corner, grab some merch from the Retail Zone and, of course, bring avid young players to the Family Zone.

Super Pass Tickets are sold out, but gamers can head to ShowClix to pick up their tickets.
