Sheffield, UK – 26 March 2026: Zip up your tracksuit, grab your clipboard and check your perm in the dressing room mirror, because the nostalgic card-based football management game NUTMEG! is sliding across the pitch and onto PC via Steam today priced at an SRP of $24.99/£19.99/€24.99, with a 40% launch discount that’s cleaner than a top-corner volley.
The concept was born from the tactical geniuses at Secret Mode, with a deft through pass to the dynamic engine room of Sumo Sheffield, who teamed up with their experience and talent to deliver this deep-seated nostalgic journey via a unique mix of genres. The result is a blend of the strategy of a management sim with the fun loop of a deck builder to give a “just one more go” tribute to the beautiful game.
Take your seat at the desk of a fourth-division underdog and prepare for a journey through the grit and glory of the ‘80s and ‘90s. Start out in the lower leagues with teams like Halifax and York and work your way up to take on the might of Liverpool and Blackburn in the upper echelons of the sport – or stick with your original team and take them into the top league in a true David v Goliath story. The seat in the manager’s office is warm – just try not to get sacked before half-time.
Manage everything about your team from behind your period-accurate desk, complete with crummy old CRTs and a clunky fax machine. Trade and train players, hire and fire backroom staff, upgrade your stadium, give press interviews, catch up on the news on Tellyfax... or take a break from it all with a quick game of Snake Parse when you’re supposed to be checking your finances.
