UK RAP ARTISTS D DOUBLE E AND FUMEZ THE ENGINEER COLLABORATE ON ‘TEKKEN 8 (THE ANTHEM)’ SINGLE AHEAD OF TEKKEN 8
Wed 31 January, London – Legendary UK artist D Double E and pioneering producer Fumez The Engineer have teamed up for TEKKEN 8 (The Anthem), a new rap single celebrating the illustrious fighting game franchise following the launch of TEKKEN 8.

TEKKEN 8 (The Anthem) is moody and melancholic from the get-go. Fumez constructs fluttering arpeggios that contrast with punchy bass throbs, whilst D Double E spits bars with lyrics centered around TEKKEN’s iconic character roster: “Not your landlord but I will evict you, your whole family gonna miss you, if I come swinging the sword like Yoshimitsu!” It’s a blend between two of the UK’s most iconic artists in their respective fields.
“Anyone who listens to my music knows I love fighting games, so it just made sense to make a TEKKEN track that hits like a Mishima dragon uppercut!” says D Double E.
“I’ve been a TEKKEN player my whole life and I’m gassed for TEKKEN 8,” explains Fumez The Engineer. “I couldn’t think of a better tag team partner than Double”.
Celebrating 30 years this year, TEKKEN is a fighting game franchise that first launched on the original PlayStation and now spans mediums with film and print adaptations. The series follows the events of the King of Iron Fist Tournament, hosted by the Mishima Zaibatsu.
TEKKEN 8 is the highly anticipated new entry and continues the tragic saga of the Mishima bloodline and its world-shaking father-and-son grudge matches. After defeating his father, Heihachi Mishima in TEKKEN 7, Kazuya continues his conquest for global domination, using the forces of G Corporation to wage war on the world. Jin Kazama is forced to face his fate head-on as he is reunited with his long-lost mother and aims to stop his father Kazuya’s reign of terror.
TEKKEN 8 launched on 26th January 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, using the power of this generation of consoles to offer a visually stunning experience along and spectacular battles.

D Double E
Real name Darren Jason Dixon, D Double E is a British MC, DJ and record producer from East London. Active in the scene for over two decades, D Double E is a founding member of notorious rap group Newham Generals alongside Monkstar and Footsie, whilst as a solo artist his discography spans timeless cuts like ‘Bluku Bluku’, ‘Bad 2 tha Bone’, ‘Lovely Jubbly’ and ‘Wolly’. Many consider D Double E rap royalty and Skepta named him the “greatest of all time”, whilst Dizzee Rascal credits him as one of the artists who inspired him to start MCing.
Fumez The Engineer
Fumez The Engineer is a master producer who has worked his way to the top over the last ten years, having mixed and mastered some of the biggest upcoming artists coming out of the UK rap, hip-hop, and drill scenes. This includes his remix of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Bad Habits’ with Tion Wayne and Central Cee, which propelled to number one on the UK Singles Chart. Fumez is also the pioneer behind his very own hit YouTube show ‘Plugged In’, which independently generated over 330 million views globally. The platform showcases freestyles from artists and has propelled many upcoming names into the spotlight, with some going on to achieve Top 40 positions in the UK’s official single charts.
