Tsonga throws himself into Wimbledon mix after Federer upset
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga produced one of the greatest shocks in Wimbledon history when he came back from two sets down to beat six-time champion Roger Federer in five sets to claim a place in this year’s semi-finals. Can he go on a produce yet another upset and crash the top four’s monopoly of the men’s Grand Slams?
The Frenchman, who made it to the Queen’s Club final before Wimbledon, produced some of the best tennis of his career to overcome one of the greatest players the world has seen.
Tsonga, who is the 12th seed at the all England club, is in the form of his life and he is high priced at 8,00 with Betclic to win the tournament.
But for him to do that he first has to overcome Novak Djokovic in the semi-final. The Serbian is also in outstanding form after losing only one match this year. The two-time Grand Slam winner is 3,00 to win his first Wimbledon title
The second semi-final sees Britain’s hope Andy Murray take on World Number 1 and tournament favourite Rafael Nadal.
The Spaniard’s odd have shortened after Federer’s exit and he is now priced at 2,20 to win the tournament while Andy Murray is 5,00 to win his maiden Grand Slam on home soil.
