Researchers at Stanford University recently concluded that outlook on learning and a student-based mentality could have a just as significant effect on success as IQ. The experiment was conducted amongst school-age students, discovering through brain scanning software that an area of the brain named the hippocampus (linked to memory and learning) was significantly more active in children with a positive attitude in particular subjects.
